This was our first meeting of the New Year. It was great to get back together as a team! We had several projects going on at once during our meeting.
Our kindergarten, first and second grade Jammers created Valentine placemats for our local Meals on Wheels. Our third and fourth grade Jammers created two new Tin Bins – Cat in the Cradle and Jacks. Each third and fourth grader was also given a challenge, they each took home two empty Tin Bins and were asked to create their own Tin Bins. The Jammers will bring them back next week and we will all look at their creations. Our fifth and sixth grade Jammers completed their first independent project; they are creating Cozy Winter Mugs. They put the product together; they will advertise, sell and distribute the products on their own! It was incredible to watch how easily they handled this task.
Next week we will have a guest author to speak on the writing process.
